Introducing Hans Forester
In honor of www.nanowrimo.org the National Novel Writing Month, asotir here presents to you the work of Bardelys, the which Bardelys had worked on 3 Novembers ago, and on-and-off ever since. The tale is one of an odd boy in a small principality wedged between the Alps and the Black Forest in a forgotten corner of the Austrian Empire at the end of the 18th century.
Along with this, asotir will himself (myself) add posts to comment on how Bardelys seems to have gone about the task of presenting and organizing his tale. I have heard from Bardelys enough to know the broad outlines of the tale, so I may make educated guesses and criticisms of the beginning with some awareness of where it all will end up.
Therefore beware of spoilers in the explanatory posts!
All the same, I must tell you that the tale is unfinished, and none but Bardelys himself can say how the tale will end up. Perhaps I am wrong, and perhaps Bardelys will change his mind as to which way he will go – which way the tale will take him.
(As always, the tale of Hans Forester, the mysterious White Lady of the Fogs, the folk of the Dimmerthal and the Schwarzwald, is here given under a Creative Commons 3.0 Attribute-Share-alike license.)
